My First “Circle of Butterflies” Women’s Circle- Rooting Back to Self
Last Saturday marked the beginning of a new journey, not only for myself but for all the beautiful souls who joined me in my first-ever Circle of Butterflies gathering. This monthly themed Women's Circle was created as a safe and supportive space for women to reconnect, nurture themselves, and feel empowered to step back into their unique, authentic selves. Our first theme was "Rooted" — a fitting beginning to plant the seeds of connection, self-discovery, and intentional growth.
Rooted: Grounding in the Midst of Chaos
Our theme, Rooted, symbolized grounding ourselves amidst the noise and chaos of daily life. Just like a tree’s roots that stabilize and nourish it through every season, we focused on nurturing our inner stability and reconnecting to the essence of who we are. This grounding would be the foundation for our Circle of Butterflies, helping us all to return to self, again and again, no matter what storms or winds come our way.
Journeying Through the 7 Chakras
To deepen our experience, we incorporated a chakra meditation, moving through each of the seven energy centers that influence our physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. We walked together through nature, letting the sights, sounds, and grounding energy of the outdoors gently guide us as we opened up each chakra with meditation music.
We also took time to identify any chakras that might be misaligned based on physical, mental, or emotional symptoms we may be experiencing. By connecting symptoms to the chakras, each of us gained insight into where we might focus more attention and healing, helping us learn how to bring our bodies and energy centers back into balance.
Setting Intentions for Flow, Surrender, and "Me Time"
The energy we cultivated was all about flow and surrender, letting go of what doesn’t serve us and welcoming ease. We took a moment together to set intentions for the month ahead, planting the seed for a month filled with more “me time.” This wasn’t about rigidly scheduling self-care but allowing it to weave naturally into our lives, as essential as the air we breathe. We committed to bringing a sense of surrender to our schedules, creating space for our needs and desires, and recognizing that prioritizing ourselves is not selfish; it’s essential.
Building Connections and Cultivating Support
One of the most beautiful aspects of this gathering was the connection that unfolded among us. There was an instant, heart-centered bond, a sisterhood grounded in understanding and empathy. As we shared our stories and intentions, I could feel the mutual support blossoming — each of us was not alone on our journey. We could lean on one another as we walked the path of personal growth and transformation.
Planting Seeds for Growth
This first gathering of Circle of Butterflies wasn’t just a one-time event; it was the beginning of something much larger. The seeds have been planted, and now we nurture them together. Each month, we’ll continue to explore different themes, from grounding to letting go, discovering new ways to reconnect and reclaim our inner power. This circle is meant to grow and evolve alongside each woman’s journey, and I am filled with gratitude for each person who chose to take the first step with me.
The month ahead holds new intentions, new lessons, and new ways to make ourselves a priority. Here’s to embracing flow, surrender, and the beauty of “me time” as we root back to ourselves again and again. If you feel called to join us on this journey, there’s always room in the circle — a space to be seen, to grow, and to transform.
With love and gratitude,
Johanna
